5 Kinds Of People You Could Meet At A Lagos Wedding

Weddings are beautiful, they depict love and togetherness. Weddings are done in a bid to celebrate the love they intend to share forever. Ever been to a Lagos wedding? Well, let me give you excerpts from some of the kinds of people you could meet at a Lagos wedding.
1. the  Linked relations:
I call them this because they could be family, best friends, acquaintances, friends, well wishers or loved ones. They get to the venue to celebrate with the couples. They have the couples at heart and they are seen trying to make the day turn out well or just seated enjoying the fun of the party honorably.

2. Lagos wedding mostly have people i bet you have never met before! various colors of dresses, patterns of styles, they are called “mogbo moya” which can be translated to “uninvited yet present” these set of people have the loudest make-up, almost looking prettier than the bride, they could even wear a similar color to the color code of the event. they tend to seem all classy, for the men, they seem to always be on a call….most times when the wedding has bouncers, the elderly ones almost swear the bride is their cousin-aunt-uncle’s sister cousin! At some point, the celebrants begin to wonder who invited who due to strange faces they keep seeing.

3. Another set are the “mountain consumers” :
These ones eat like their lives depends on it -after all, living depends on eating! they seat at strategic positions where food, drinks and gifts could easily get to.they put meals in bags and get the best of souvenirs because they are never shy to ask for gifts. they tend to get others frustrated by claiming not to have been served. look out for them at the next wedding you attend, they are mountain consumers!

4. The beggars:
These set of people tend to dress properly but do not be deceived! they could beg the bride at the altar if they could. they walk up to you looking like they have a decent conversation to pass across only to shock you  with ‘…..nothing is too small.’ they mostly lurk around till its time for meals in which they follow suit to eat with the ‘invited guests’.

5. The irritants:
‘…just look at the hall, there’s no fan o, this ac is too cold, is this the only wedding dress this girl could find?, why is her dress so big, is she pregnant? when will these people share food?’     they always just complain at the slightest discomfort.

Which one have you ever been?
