Liverpool have no interest in signing Lionel Messi if he becomes available this summer, according to reports.
Messi handed in a transfer request at Barcelona on Tuesday and is hopeful he can terminate his contract and leave the Spanish side on a free.
A select number of clubs have been linked with Messi, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Liverpool are the reigning Premier League champions, but reports claim the Reds have less than zero interest in bringing Messi to Anfield.

Should they move for Messi, Man City will have an advantage over their rivals with Pep Guardiola in charge at the Etihad.
The pair enjoyed superb success at Barcelona together and City will consider themselves as one of the few sides who could afford Messi.
