Vector opens up about romance with Seyi Shay for the first time.
The rapper and singer sparked dating rumors when they shared a passionate kiss on stage at the 2013 Felabration festival in Lagos. Recall that Vector said during his Guinness book of records freestyle: “Seyi shay, I think I like her, probably bed her once or twice, I think I like her.”
Vector who’s currently completing works on his forthcoming album titled T.E.S.L.I.M. recently stopped at Beat FM for a chat about his relationship and new projects. When asked about his alleged relationship with Seyi Shay, he replied ”yeah, we had moments, we had moments,” adding that it was ‘a bit awkward’ working with Seyi on set of upcoming movie, “Lara and the Beat,” expected to hit cinemas in July.
Earlier this year, Vector revealed in an interview that he was aroused during the pair’s kissing scenes as part of their lead roles in “Lara and the Beat”. “Seyi Shay and I had been friends for a while even before the movie but it was not awkward kissing her,” the rapper said. “It takes a level of expertise to kiss someone and try your best to suppress your feelings while you do it, especially with Seyi Shay. I won’t deceive you, I was aroused when I kissed her but I had to control myself. It is all about the control, I mean we are talking about Seyi, she is beautiful.”
Vectors new album TESLIM is expected to drop this year, and it is titled in honor of his dad, who passed away in July 2017. “Let’s make hip-hop fun again and let’s get back to making music the way it should be. “Teslim is the album, it means The Energy Still Lives In Me and that is also the name of my Dad,” he adds.
