Former Leicester City forward and Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa breaks silence speaks about the teams shock defeat to Tunisia at the AFCON 2022, that saw the Super Eagles knocked out of the African Cup of Nations in just the second round of the competition after a fantastic showing in the group stage of the competition.
Ahmed Musa who is the national team captain didn’t start any match throughout the competition coming on twice as a second-half substitute, took to his social media page just some minutes ago after the Eagles returned to the country earlier today and visited the Aso Villa.

Musa wrote on his page, that the Eagles gave their 100% but unfortunately that wasn’t good enough. He further went on to say the national team won’t give up and will do better next time. While thanking the Nigerian public for their support and prayers. He noted that they make it all worthwhile.

Musa’s wrote;
In life, things wouldn’t always go the way we want them to and that’s something we have to accept however hard it is. We gave our 100% and unfortunately that wasn’t good enough to take us through.
