France striker, Antoine Griezmann is convinced this year’s World Cup final will be “very difficult”.

Samuel Umtiti’s second-half header was enough to secure France’s place in their first World Cup final since 2006. The 1998 champions will face the winner of the semifinal match between Croatia and England in the final which takes place in Moscow on Sunday. “We can’t smell a trophy, only perfume,” Griezmann explained in his post-match interview. “We have to keep our feet on the ground. The final will be very difficult.”

Griezmann and Mbappe are France’s top scorers in Russia with three goals each. The Atletico Madrid admits he’s more used to suffering than his French team-mates, having lost several times to Barcelona and Real Madrid at club level. “I’m more used to suffering than my teammates,” he admitted. “We’re very happy at this moment, but not overly so. We have to rest now, the final is in five days.”
