We Are Here To Move Yobe Forward – Governor Buni

Mai Mala Buni, the Yobe State Governor, has urged the executive and legislative arms of government to work hand-in-hand and hard in the next dispensation.

He said this when the members-elect of Yobe State paid a courtesy visit to the Governor at the House of Assembly after receiving their certificates of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni’s media aide, in a statement thanked the legislators saying, the just concluded election was a collective victory for the people of Yobe State.

“We must work hard in the next dispensation to improve on human capital development”, he said.

According to him, to achieve that, both the Executive and the Legislative arms of government must be on the same page in the interest of the state and its people.

“As a government, we will expand our scope of engagement to include all stakeholders and the youth for good results”, Gov. Buni maintained.

The team of new legislators led by Hon. Buba Kalalawa, assured the Governor of their support and working synergy to move the state forward.

He said the legislature will build on the harmony existing between the two arms of government for the benefit of the people of the state.

“We are here to congratulate each other and you should always count on us for support and cooperation on every policy and programme that would move Yobe State forward”, Kalalawa said.
