Winter is not a term that is usually discussed in Nigerian circles. Much less Winter Olympics. But that might be soon about to change as a group of girls are bidding to become Nigeria’s first representative at the Winter Olympics via the bobsledding category and instrumental to that group’s push is the driver of the team who also happens to be our Woman Crush of the day – Seun Adigun.Although born and raised on the north side of Chicago, Seun has admitted that deep down her heart resides in Surulere, Lagos. Her first love was basketball but ended up competing in the sport of track & field for University of Houston and went on to become a three-time national champion and 2012 Olympian for the country of Nigeria. In 2015, she became a rookie brakeman for the USA Women’s Bobsled team and in 2016 went on to pioneer what has become the first ever African Bobsled Team with Nigeria.Away from sports, she has admitted to having love for the arts, dancing, singing, listening to music, writing. She is also currently studying to complete her Doctorate of Chiropractic/Masters of Science dual degree in December of 2017. Seun is definitely one of the coolest sporty nerd you’ll ever come across.Photo Credit: Seun Adigun
