Watford Fires Manager Nigel Pearson After 8 Months In-Charge

Premier League team Watford reportedly sacks its Manager Nigel Pearson with just 2-games left amidst the team’s relegation battle. Nigel Pearson

Nigel Pearson was brought in by the Hornets in December to replace Quique Sanchez Flores with the team rock bottom of the table. He came in seemed set to lead the Hornets to safety after a mini-revival to get them out of the drop zone but the teams form has been woeful since after the Premier League lockdown restart which has seen them sit in the 17th position fighting for lives and Premier League survival.

Watford who were FA Cup finalists is currently 3 points above relegation zone with 2 tough games to go against Manchester City and Arsenal. They were beaten 3-1 by fellow strugglers West Ham on Saturday night in a bitter blow to their hopes as Bournemouth and Aston Villa look to climb above the Vicarage Road club and out of the drop zone.
