Viola Davis and her husband, Julius Tennon have premiered their new show “The Last Defense.”
The 52-year-old Oscar-winning actress looked gorgeous in a black dress as she and her partner hit the red carpet for the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival at SVA Theatre in New York City on Friday. Viola and Julius joined a panel discussion about their new docu-series at the festival.
The Last Defense will premiere on ABC on June 12. The upcoming seven episode docu-series exposes the flaws in the American justice system through the examination of two Death Row cases.
“Black Panther” star Lupita Nyong’o was also on stage during a Time’s Up panel held during the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday April 28, at Spring Studios in New York City. Other stars at the event included fellow Oscar winners Julianne Moore, Mira Sorvino, Marisa Tomei and more powerful women in the industry.
