Victoria’s Secret Ordered By Court To Pay Employees Close To NGN4 Billion

American designer of women’s premium lingerie, womenswear, and beauty products Victoria’s Secret, who have been able to carve a niche for themselves to being the largest American retailer of women’s lingerie will be dishing out some big bucks to some of their former workers soon. The brand for 3 years has had issues with some of its employees and based on a new justice ruling, ‘on-call’ shifts have been deemed bootleg in a state of California’s labor laws. Mayra Casas and Julio Fernandez, former Victoria Secret employees from California, are finally getting assent after being mistreated. The Two employees filed a class-action lawsuit in 2014.According to California Labor Laws around WWD, a worker contingency should be paid for her “reporting time” that is equal to half of a volume of time a worker was reserved to work. If a worker works reduction than dual hours, afterwards she is still entitled to dual hours value of pay.
