Victoria Beckham Returns To Her Childhood Home As She Talks Style In New Vogue Magazine

Victoria Beckham has posed for a cosy photoshoot in her childhood home. The new issue of Vogue sees the former Spice Girl go back to her childhood home in Hertfordshire. Pictured sitting in her former bedroom at the house she grew up in as part of a new spread for the editorial, 43-year-old Victoria slipped into a pair of pink pyjamas from her 2018 collection and looks relaxed with toys around her. She is one of the stars chosen by new Vogue editor Edward Enninful to feature in his first issue. The comfy picture, which is miles away from the usual high glamour shoots we’re used to seeing from Mrs Beckham, was taken by Paul Wetherell.
She got candid about her ‘inappropriate’ fashion choices when she was in the Spice Girls, saying they used to look like ‘men in drag’. Victoria, who was known as Posh Spice in the group, said: ‘Did I look inappropriate ever? Not until the Spice Girls. My mum would never let me go out dressed like that.’
She also said her dad’s instilled a strong work ethic in her which she tries to pass onto her own sons Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and daughter Harper. ‘Whenever I said I can’t do it, my dad just wouldn’t hear it. He’d say, “What do you mean you can’t do it? Why? Why?” And I do that with my own children as well.’
Despite finding the looks a bit garish, she admitted she does have a favourite Posh Spice look. Victoria said: ‘When I was pregnant with Brooklyn we did a video called Goodbye. ‘I had really short hair. That was quite nice – natural make-up.
‘But there’s one that was the most hideous – we went to the American Music Awards and we looked like men in drag.’
