Victor Osimhen tested positive for COVID-19 on January 1, on his return to Naples after spending time in Nigeria, where he threw himself a birthday party and flouted some COVID-19 protocols.
However, after 21 days in isolation, Napoli announced that the former Lille striker has tested negative.
“@victorosimhen9 recovered from Covid-19,” Napoli wrote on their Twitter handle.
Osimhen missed Napoli’s 2-0 Super Coppa defeat to Juventus on Wednesday but will be hoping to be available for selection when they take on Verona in their Serie A game at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Sunday.
