The Lagos DPP on the case Barr. J.O Adeyemi and T.E Onilade, were in court today with two witnesses set to testify on the case. But that was prevented from happening as the defendant Lawyer, Mr Onwuka Egbu the lawyer of the 1st defendant objected to the call of the witnesses just yet as he prayed that the prosecution team only just provided him with some additional evidence which he hasn’t had time to go through, analysis and digest.

The same complaints were prayed upon by the counsel of the 2nd defendant, Barr Babatunde Busari and that of the 3rd defendant, A.O Odusanya.

Also, the defendant counsels also noted that the copies of documents received from the prosecution counsel were dubiously faint and illegible. The defendant counsels also brought to the notice of the court that the video recorded confession of the 21-year-old UNILAG student who is the prime suspect in the case was inaudible.

Due to these prayers, that case was then adjourned to Thursday, November 11th, 2021.
