The Untamed Inferno! 5 Most Gruesome Fulani Herdsmen Attacks In Nigeria

A huge number of Benue state citizens marched out yesterday to demand an immediate action on the constant murder of their citizens by the deadly tribal group of herders commonly referred to as the Fulani herdsmen. Though some individuals have affiliated the protest to political parties, the unchecked killing spree by the Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria can be traced back to the first Nigerian republic.
According to the 2015 Global Terrorism Index, these Fulani herdsmen are the fourth deadliest militant group in the world with a record killing of 1229 people in 2014. But for the advent of Boko Haram, the Fulani Herdsmen were the deadliest terrorist group in Nigerian history. Their five deadliest attacks include:
5th of March 2016: Almost 500 people were killed by the Fulani herdsmen following an all-out attack on the Agatu local government area of Benue state. The perpetrators of this mass slaughter were never brought to books.
6th April 2014: Almost 200 people were reportedly killed when the Fulani herdsmen opened fire on a huge number of people who were holding a meeting in Galadima village, Zamfara state.
20th of June 2016: At Least 59 Deaths were recorded following attacks on three communities in Logo local government area of Benue.
25th of April 2016: Fulani herdsmen attack seven villages in Uzo- Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State. killing at least 40 people.
19th of April 2016: Over 20 local government areas in Delta State halted movement on the Benin-Asaba Expressway, to protest for the murder of at least 23 people by Fulani herdsmen.
