Some unknown gunmen suspected to be assassins have killed the National Examinations Council NECO Registrar, Professor Godswill Obioma in his home in Minna.
This is coming barely two days after the murder of ex-President Jonathan’s former aide, Ahmed Gulak and 2 days after the murder of the Imo Immigration Chief Provost, Okiemute Mrere.
As reported by Peoples Gazette, the NECO registrar Professor Godswill Obioma’s residence was invaded on Monday night by the gunmen, crushing him in what his wife suspected to be an assassination. The wife reportedly narrated that her husband had just returned to Minna from a trip to Abuja when the armed men, prowling in his compound, descended on and strangled him.

The media further reported that Mrs Elizabeth Obioma, who was reportedly contacted via telephone call on Tuesday morning, explained that the assassins came into their home, killed her husband and left without taking anything, which further cemented her claims that he was the only target and it was an assassination.
