Unknown Gunmen Kill President Jonathan’s Former Aide Ahmed Gulak

An All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain and former Presidential aide to past President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak was allegedly killed yesterday, Saturday night May 2021, in Imo State by some alleged unknown gunmen. Ahmed Gulak

Ahmed Gulak is reported to have been shot dead en route to Abuja returning from Owerri, Imo State, Ahmed Gulak was a member of the national opposition party the PDP during which he was a Political adviser and aide to President Goodluck Jonathan.

He was the  Chairman of the Imo State APC Gubernatorial committee, during the 2019 gubernatorial elections, Ahmed Gulak who under tenure as Imo State APC Gubernatorial Committee Chairman alleged that former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha offered him $2m in bid to ensure that his son-in-law Uche Nwosu emerged as the Party’s flagbearer and candidate for the 2019 election.

Ahmed Gulak said turned down the offer and saw a free and fair election that saw Hope Uzodinma emerge as the party’s candidate.

The state police command is yet to comment on this development, nor ascertain how the event took place and report if any suspect has yet been arrested.
