A group of unknown has attacked an All Progressive Party, APC and also abducted an assembly candidate for the next election.
Unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted Mr. Madaki, APC’s candidate for the House of Assembly in Kajuru, Kaduna State, and the vice chairman of the Kajuru local government area, Ruben Waziri.
They were abducted on Thursday, September 22, in Tashar Icce community, along Kaduna-Kachia highway in Kaduna State.
According to Daily Trust, the APC chieftains were on their way back from Kafanchan after a political meeting with Christian leaders in the Southern Senatorial District when they were attacked.
A politician, who escaped the attack, said that not less than five vehicles were affected after the assailants opened fire on the politicians sporadically, leaving some persons injured and kidnapping two others.
“They opened fire on our vehicles and in the process, some sustained bullet wounds and they are currently receiving treatment at 44 military hospitals,” the politician said.
It was gathered that the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Senator Uba Sani, was not part of the entourage as it was said he travelled to Abuja from Kafanchan.
