Following the prevailing security situation and economic crunch ravaging Nigeria, the management of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has announced the cancellation of its post-University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for prospective 2023/2024 students of the institution.
The University had scheduled to hold the post-UTME examination between October 3 and October 28, 2023.
However, a notice of cancellation issued on Thursday, September 7, 2023, which was signed by the Register, Dr C. N Nnebedum, said the decision was based on the prevailing uncertainties in the country.
According to the notice, the screening of the students will be based on verified Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME, O’level and Direct Entry results in place of the Post-UTME Computer-Based Test (CBT) Examination.
According to Nnebedum, “the decision is informed by the prevailing uncertainties and logistical implications of students traveling from various parts of the country to the institution for the examination.”

She, however, warned that “any candidate who fails to upload the verified O’level results at JAMB caps in record time shall not be considered for admission.
“Other details on the registration for the screening on O’level and Direct Entry results at the UNN portal as already published on the school website remains as scheduled.”
