The United Nations Human Rights Council has decided to set up an investigative committee to probe the recent killings in Gaza.
The decision, which was made on Friday, concluded that the U.N. will send a probe committee to the massacre which has been described by many as the worst casualty record in the Israel war against the Palestinians since 2014.
Reacting to the U.N. decision, Israel’s ambassador in Geneva, Aviva Raz Shechter, said the U.N. committee was simply trying to ridicule Israel’s international status.
Aviva said: “Simply put, with this resolution, this council has reached a new height of hypocrisy, and the lowest standards of credibility.”
Scores of Palestinians were murdered by Israeli snipers when the United states opened an embassy in Jerusalem few days ago.
