Seidu Oshiomhole, younger brother to APC’s National chairman and former governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole was attacked and battered yesterday. Oshiomhole alongside other 14 lawmakers-elect in the state were attacked by the thugs at an undisclosed location where they were attacked by the thugs who were allegedly hired by the state government.
According to reports obtained, the meeting was called after the Monday midnight inauguration of nine members of the new parliament and subsequent election of Frank Okiye as speaker. This election has been declared unconstitutional by many when just nine out of the 24-man Assembly met to elect Okiye. This ongoing crisis has been attributed to a fresh rift between Governor Godwin Obaseki and his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole. The case of the attack has been reported to the police headquarters by the victims and is currently being investigated.
