Rema Breaks King Sunny Ade’s 41-Year-Old Record On US Billboard Albums Chart
Famous singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has broken legendary musician, King Sunny Ade’s 41-year-old record as the Nigerian artiste with the longest-running album in the US Billboard 200 chart’s history.

Recall that King Sunny Ade set the record with his critically-acclaimed album, “Juju Music” in 1982 – 18 years before Rema was born.
The album spent 29 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and was the longest-running Nigerian project in the chart’s history until it was recently displaced by the young Nigerian sensation’s debut album ‘Rave & Roses’ which spent a 30th week on the chart this week.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption.

Recall that Nigerian singer Davido is making waves online with his emotional statement and words of encouragement to him, praising his achievements on YouTube and in the Nigerian music industry.
