Suicide! Drama On Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge As Man Jumps Into Lagoon

A 40-year-old man, identified as Adekunle Oluseyi John, on Friday jumped into the Lagoon in Lagos from the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge in an apparent suicide plunge. The reason he did that was unclear but witnesses said that the man pulled off his clothes and left some belongings, including his phone and ATM card, before jumping into the lagoon.

His ATM card and other items were recovered from the scene of the incident, thereby revealing his identity. After a four-hour search without recovery of the body, the officials of the Lagos State Waterways Authority, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and the Marine Police Authorities called off the search operation.
