#StolenMace: Omo-agege’s Court Order Blocks Police From Arresting Him

There was a pandemonium at the National Assembly yesterday after some thugs allegedly sent by Senator Ovie Omo-agege, stole the senate mace. According to reports reaching us now, Omo-agege has secured court order blocking the Nigerian police and the Department of state security services, DSS, from arresting him.

Omo-agege, who was arrested by the police, yesterday was later released; Abuja High Court granted him an interim order restraining the police, the Department of State Services (DSS) and other law enforcement bodies from arresting him on Thursday. Omo-agege also denied claims that he staged the incident.
