Witness No Show Stalls Baba Ijesha’s Case As It Is Adjourn Till Nov 19
The infamous child defilement case of the veteran Nollywood Yoruba actor and comedian Olanrewaju Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha has once again been adjourned till next Friday, November 19, due to the failure of the prosecuting counsel to provide its witness in court today. 
Over the duration of the case the prosecuting counsel had brought to court 3 different witnesses, the last to stand in court was the case lead investigator ASP Wahab Kazeem who revealed that he wasn’t the first police officer to work or receive the case for its initial complaint.

He indicted one Police officer Abigail and Team A of being the first to handle the case and it was later passed on to him.
So in lieu of this, the court requested for the presence of Abigail and members of Team A to give their testimony in court, on why Baba Ijesha was interrogated and made his popular confession that is on record without having his lawyer present also why is it that all of the witnesses the police have on record to have testified against Baba Ijesha are only those that were presented by the complainant in the person of the comedienne Camilla Adekanye aka Princess.
The prosecution team today in court November 12 were unable to provide neither of their 2 remaining witnesses, with complaints that one of the witnesses had been transferred from her old place of duty, while the other is jittery and unable to cope with the pressure of giving testimony in court under oath.

The Judge on the matter had adjourned the case till next Friday, November 19 for the prosecution to ensure that it provides its last two witnesses in court. It was also confirmed that the next court date after November 19 would be December 2nd 2021.
