NDLEA Arrests Female Drug Dealer With 78 Bags Of Cannabis

The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested a female drug dealer with seventy-eight bags of Cannabis Sativa.

The Director, Media and Advocacy of the agency, Femi Babafemi disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Babafemi said that the suspect, Peace Ayuba, was arrested on Friday, October 7 at Kakau Gonin Gora area of Kaduna State with drugs weighing 849.5kgs.

In other news, Over 2.4 million tramadol tablets smuggled into Lagos from Pakistan have been seized by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

In a statement on Sunday, Femi Babafemi, NDLEA spokesperson, said the drugs were intercepted by the agency’s operatives at Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Friday.

Babafemi said the pharmaceutical opioid weighed 2,356kg with an estimated street value of N1.04 billion.

He said the consignment of 52 cartons arrived in Nigeria from Karachi in Pakistan, adding that the seized substances are against medical use and have been banned in the country.
