A Nation Going Social! Nigeria Officially Joins Twitter

An official Twitter page has been opened for the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The country has now joined countries like Canada, Israel, Ireland and Great Britain, Sweden who all have official verified Twitter accounts. The account’s bio states, “Discover Africa’s most populous country, and largest economy,”The handled @Nigeria emerged on the social media platform on June 9 and the first tweet reads: “Welcome to the Twitter handle for the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Africa’s largest economy, and most populous country.” The account stated that different Nigerians will be managing it at different times.Photo Credit: Nigeria
