My Forces Will Destroy Yevgeny Prigozhin And His Wagner Troops If Deemed Threat To Russia – Chechen Leader, Ramzan Kadyrov

Head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, has accused Yevgeny Prigozhin of dangerous arrogance which could have led to “bloodshed”.

He promised “the harsh suppression and destruction of anyone who encroaches on the integrity of the Russian Federation”.

Mr Kadyrov said the mutiny was driven by a growing “anger” within Mr Prigozhin, and his “deep-seated and long-lasting resentment”.

“I thought some people could be trusted… but it turned out that for the sake of personal ambitions, benefits and because of arrogance, people can not give a damn about affection and love for the fatherland,” he said.

He called on Wagner fighters to “continue to be sober in their decisions” and think “about your families and children”.

The Chechen leader signed the contracts drawn up by the defence ministry to control irregular forces that prompted Mr Prigozhin to escalate tensions with the Russian MoD.

He deployed his special forces to Rostov yesterday to “crush” the rebellion, he said. Those soldiers have now withdrawn.
