Labour Party Alex Otti Declared Winner Of Abia Guber Polls
After a long suspension to collation of the gubernatorial results, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday have declared Alex Otti, the Labour Party (LP) gubernatorial candidate winner of the elections that held in Abia State.

The controversial Obingwa Local Government results was finally collated which put figures at, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polling 9,962 votes, the Labour Party garnered 3,776 votes in the LGA.

Otti polled 175,467 votes defeating the closest candidate Chief Okey Ahiwe of the PDP who polled 88,529 votes.
Enyinnaya Nwafor of the Young Peoples Party (YPP) came third with 28,972 votes.
Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) Professor Nnenna Oti, subsequently declared Otti the Governor-elect having polled the highest number of votes and satisfied all necessary conditions.
Consequently, the LP has won in 10 LGAs, the PDP in six LGAs, and the Young Peoples Party in one LGA.

The governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Abia State, Chief Alex Otti, was, consequently declared the winner of the 2023 governorship election in Abia State.
