3 Members Of Notorious Kidnap Gang Arrested Over Murder Of Abia Businessman

The Inspector-General of Police Intelligent Response Team has arrested 3 men; Chinedu Agwu, Nnadozie Monday and Godwin Uche for the murder of an Abia businessman, Jacob Ugwa.

Jacob Ugwa, an indigene of Abiriba in Ohafia Local Government Area of the State was reportedly shot dead on July 30, 2021 by the kidnap gang inside his compound at Ogbor Hill area of Aba.
The IRT Commander, Tunji Disu, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, confirmed the arrest of the suspects, noting that the alleged kidnappers confessed that they are always after men that drive flashy cars around Abia State.

On how they discovered Jacob, the kidnappers said  they had decided to ride their tricycle around Abia State to look for preys when they saw Jacob driving a flashy car and followed him. They noted that they have tried kidnapping late Jacob Ugwa many times but as all their efforts to abduct him were in vain, they decided to kill him.

As said, the kidnappers were trailing him one day when he noticed he was being followed and drove into his compound. Unfortunately for him, one of this kidnappers  named UC shot him when he came down from his car.
One of the kidnappers who narrated the sad event to the Police said he was still in the tricycle when he heard the others blaming UC for shooting him nd they immediately left the scene.
