Insecurity: Declare A State Of Emergency – Ortom Tells FG

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has asked the Federal Government to declare a State of emergency in the nation state, as a result of the insecurity in the state, saying if this is not done, there may not be a country called Nigeria again, some day.
Samuel Ortom said this during a media briefing in Abuja on Thursday on the state of the nation and the adoption of ranching system by the Northern Governors Forum.Insecurity: We May Wake Up One Day And Not Have A Country - Ortom“If a state of emergency is not declared on insecurity in this country, we may wake up one day and discover that we have no country”, Governor Samuel Ortom said at a point in his statement. “It is not right to allow just herdsmen to come in i nthe name of ECOWAS protocols. There are procedures to follow before you come into Nigeria  You must profile those people coming in including their cattle. We must review the ECOWAS protocol because it does not favour us for now.”
