Ikoyi Building Collapse: Stop Magnifying Your Negligence With A 3-day Mourning Declaration – Uche Maduagwu Tells Gov Sanwo-Olu
Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has slammed the Lagos state Governor Sanwo-Olu for declaring 3 days of mourning over the loss of lives at the Ikoyi building collapse which happened last week.
The actor in a post shared on his Instagram page said the governor should stop magnifying his negligence by declaring the mourning period. He also mentioned that the state government did not declare any period of mourning for victims of the Lekki toll gate shooting incident that happened in October 2020. He shared that the construction went from the state-approved 15 storeys to 21 due to the lack of monitoring by the agencies in charge.
He shared that the building was put on a major road and all state monitoring officials never checked to see if they were following due process.
