Governor Sanwo-Olu Buying Roasted Plantain Whilst Protesters Are Being Arrested (Photos)

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has been pictured buying some roasted plantain despite the state been in the grip of fresh protests at the Lekki Toll Gate.

The second wave of the #EndSARS protest began in Lagos under the #OccupyLekkiTollGate rally, with more than 30 protesters, including Debo Adebayo, a Nigerian comedian better known as Mr Macaroni, arrested by security operatives.

With one of his security aides standing at a distance, the governor pointed at his choice among the plantain popularly referred to as “boli”.

The seller gladly selected his choice and handed over to Sanwo-Olu whose facial expression was covered by the mask he wore.
