According to him, “His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof Ben Ayade, has approved the elevation of the underlisted directors to the rank of permanent secretary in the state public service.”
They are Ushie Esther Peter, Irek Matthew Esikpe, Atim Okokon Ekpenyong, Emmanuel Egban and Abu Ikwo Eyo.

Akwaji said their appointments take effect from April 27, 2023.
Recall that some days back, civil Servants in Cross River said the lifting of the embargo placed on the promotion of civil servants by Gov. Ben Ayade came late.
They, therefore, said they would not applaud his administration for the feat, alleging that it was meant to burden the incoming administration.
