Congratulations! Goodluck Jonathan Bags New Appointment In Uganda

Congratulations are in order for Nigeria’s former President, Goodluck Jonathan,  GCFR, GCON as he has bagged a new appointment in Uganda as the Chancellor of Cavendish University, Kampala, Uganda.

Goodluck Jonathan had in 2020 been appointed by the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS as a special envoy to lead the sub-regional body’s mediation mission in Mali and as the Chairman, International Summit Council for Peace (ISCP)-Africa in July this year and now, as the 1st student of the East African University.The ex-president announced his appointment in a post on Thursday, sharing pictures from his inauguration at an elaborate ceremony. Jonathan revealed that he had performed his first official function in the capacity as Chancellor at the 10th Graduation Ceremony of the University “I am pleased to have been formally inaugurated as the Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda and to have performed my first official function in that capacity at the 10th Graduation Ceremony of the University today in Kampala, Uganda”, he began.

“I congratulate the new graduands and urge them to deploy their knowledge towards positively impacting people, building a community of reformers, and improving the society”, he added.
Goodluck Jonathan is the third chancellor of the university since its establishment.While former president of the Republic of Zambia, the late Kenneth Kaunda, was the pioneer chancellor, and the late president of the United Republic of Tanzania, Benjamin Mkapa, was the second.
