‘Shelter In Your Homes Or In Government Places Of Shelter’- Ghanaian Government Tells Ghanaians In Ukraine
The Ghanaian government has reacted to the ongoing struggle between Russia and Ukraine amid the Russian invasion. The government has issued an official statement via its Twitter page addressing the issue and also the security of its citizens.
The government in its statement asked its citizens to shelter in their homes or in government places of shelter. The government of Ghana explained that it is gravely concerned about the security of its citizens. It further shared that it will engage relevant authorities, diplomatic missions, and consuls on the next appropriate measures to take.

On Thursday, Russia’s Vladimir Putin announced military action in a televised address on Thursday morning, saying the move was a response to threats from Ukraine. Mr. Putin accused the U.S. and its allies of ignoring Russia’s demand to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO, saying the Russian invasion is to ensure a “demilitarisation” of Ukraine.
