FUOYE Class Rep Dies After Truck Accident While Biking To Campus
A student of the Federal University Oye Ekiti has died after being involved in an accident, KOKO TV can confirm.

The accident involving his bike and a truck occurred on Friday along Ikole secretariat road in Ekiti state.
The victim, identified as Taiwo Gbolahan, is the class governor of the Quantity Survey department at the varsity.
FUOYE is situated in Oye-Ekiti in the Oye LGA of the state and Ikole-Ekiti, splitting the varsity into two campuses.

Both campuses are 23.7 km apart, often taking the students and lecturers 37 minutes to commute between them.
A student source who spoke to TheCable on the incident said Gbolahan was instructed by one of their lecturers to submit the assignments for the class before 9 am, prompting him to mount a bike in a bid to beat the deadline.

“MTH 101 is for all faculties, including Engineering, Environmental Management & Design, and Agriculture. The victim in Quantity Survey, in Environmental Management. He’s the governor of his department,” the source said.
