The Federal Minister of Health, Mr. Isaac Adewole has revealed that President Buhari has decided to keep his health problems as a top secret due to the negative perspective that most individuals have chosen to view the matter from, rather that praying for the President’s quick recovery.

Speaking in an interview with Thisday, Mr. Adewole explained that the kind of ailment affecting Buhari has been kept private because, over the years, Nigerians have failed to manage information very well. He said: “You have forgotten that as our president, he is also an individual. Unfortunately, we still, as a country, we cannot handle information. The president’s son was operated; they said he was dead. You see, it is a strange country and so we do not respect people’s right to privacy and confidentiality. We also have no respect for the doctor-patient relationship.”
