Singer Burna Boy believes that the EndSARS movement is more than a protest but is a revolution. The singer revealed this on ‘The Ebro Show’ and he shared that the campaign against police brutality is unprecedented in the history of Nigeria.

He added that the movement moved into a revolution aimed at challenging all the issues in the country and demand for better governance.  “What is happening now has always been like a fantasy in my head. But now seeing this, everybody is together, nobody is placing anyone above others, no one is leading anything, everybody is on the frontline and at the background together at the same thing. 

“This is something that has never happened in the history of Nigeria. It’s a lot bigger than what it started out to as. It began as a protest but now it has become a revolution because it now goes deeper than fighting to end police brutality.”

Burna Boy during the show also shared that a number of problems in the country is due to the foundation of the country as it is built on human rights violation.  “Nigeria was built on human rights violation so it’s hard to fix on a result of what we are built on. We should never end after #EndSARS until there is real change in the country because this is the only opportunity we have.

Burna Boy also said the radio show was part of his quest to enlighten blacks and others who have been misinformed for long in the wake of happenings in Nigeria and across the globe. “I called the show Miseducation radio because all our lives, we have been through a gross miseducation and there has been a deliberate misrepresentation of black people all over the world just to weaken us because knowledge is power. “So, we are miseducated because that’s how they want us to be, that’s the default setting. Now it is the time to reeducate ourselves. It gives people the background of what they see today.
