Gov. Dapo Abiodun Announces “Ogun State Lockdown To Start On Friday” 1 Love

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has on Monday 30th March 2020, shifted the lockdown date of Ogun State till Friday.

Governor Abiodun overturns the Federal shut down of Ogun State along with Lagos State and the FCT put in place by President Muhammadu Buhari which he announced in a state of the nation address on the 29th of March 2020. Though the Gov. Abiodun said his state made a request to President Buhari to allow the supposed lockdown of Ogun to State to kick in on Friday, April 3rd, 2020 instead of Monday Night 30th of March, and the state’s request were granted.

The Governor said the request was meant to help the state prepare better by providing food for the people of the state during the lockdown, and after which the lockdown would be a total shutdown of activities within the state except for essential services. Photo Credit: Getty
