Cultist Arrested For Terrorising Rivers Community

A suspected cultist has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command for terrorising residents in Egbeda Community, in the Emohua Local Government Area of the state.

KOKO TV gathered that the cultist, identified simply as ‘Cross and Die’, was arrested on Wednesday following credible intelligence and had been detained at the Egbeda Police Division.

Speaking on the incident, the President of Ubimini Youth Council, Ikechukwu Wordu, who confirmed the arrest of the cultist, urged members of the community to remain calm.

Wordu said, “He ‘Cross and Die’ is in the custody of the Egbeda Divisional Police Headquarters. I am calling on the Inspector-General of Police, state Commissioner of Police, to make sure they interrogate him very well.

“Let him provide the pump action gun and he will also mention the names of members of his gang in my community. My advice is that the youth should remain calm and nobody should cause any disturbance again in the community.”

Contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, said she would find out about the development but had yet to revert to our correspondent as of the time this report was filed.
