Passengers Complain As BRT Bus Gets Flooded Due To Heavy Rainfall

Passengers who boarded the BRT bus in Lagos today complained bitterly over the flooding in the bus due to the heavy downpour of rain in the state yesterday. The passengers boarded the transportation system and were seen sitting in a pool of water as they drove to their destination.

In a viral video shared on social media Passengers on the bus could be seen and heard ranting about the unfortunate incident and what they have to bear to use the public means of transportation. Car owners too were filmed complaining as their cars got flooded while they were driving home through flooded roads.

On Thursday, the state government said it was stepping up cleaning of canals – blocked by human refuse – in four local government areas. On Friday, the flooding also affected traffic flow in many parts of the city as commuters groaned.
