South Sudanese Model, Anyang Deng, Opens Up On Battle With Depression, Admits Self Into A Psychiatric Hospital

South Sudanese model Anyang Deng has opened up on her battle with depression and how she has finally decided to seek help and get herself checked into a psychiatric hospital. The supermodel took to her Instagram page to share this as she shared a clip of herself in the ward detailing how she’s been depressed for the most part of her life.

She noted that she has self-harmed herself several times detailing how her mother passed away when she was 6 months old and for over 20 years of her life she’s been through sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. She shared that she contemplated how she would kill herself, what her funeral would look like so she made the decision to check herself into a psychiatric hospital.

Anyang Deng revealed that depression, mental health is a topic that is avoided in the black community and now she has been diagnosed with PTSD, Depression, etc. She asked anyone who feels like her to get help or send her a DM to vent because everyone needs someone they can talk to.
