In some viral photos the 83-year-old Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, was seen throwing it down seriously as he was spotted exercising and stretching his royal octagenarian body in his palace.

Oba Lamidi has always been one royal popular for his love of keeping fit and one of his most favoured sport is boxing. And as ever the Iku Baba Yeye was seen in some of the viral photos of him in a boxing stance throwing short left and right jabs.

The photos making the round on Facebook show the monarch wearing a dark tracksuit and white cap while doing stretches and push-ups.
