The Kremlin has claimed it stopped a drone attack on Vladimir Putin‘s presidential home, according to Russian news agencies.

The Kremlin has insisted Vladimir Putin was not inside his official residence when it was allegedly targeted with drones.

Multiple Sources, quoting the Kremlin, said Putin was working in Novo-Ogaryovo – outside Moscow – at the time.

Moscow has claimed it foiled an assassination attempt against the Russian president overnight, disabling two drones.

The Russian capital has banned the use of unauthorised civilian drones in the city.

It follows Kremlin claims that it foiled an assassination attempt on Vladimir Putin.

As we mentioned in our previous post, the Kremlin said two drones were aimed at the president’s official residence overnight but were disabled.

It called the attack a “planned terrorist act” and said it considered it to be an attempt on the Russian president’s life, according to multiple sources.

No victims or damage were reported and President was not injured, the Kremlin said.

“On Wednesday night, the Kyiv regime made an attempt to strike using a UAV the Kremlin residence of Russian,” it said in a statement.

“Two unmanned aerial vehicles were aimed at the Kremlin. As a result of timely actions taken by the military and special services with the use of radar warfare systems, the vehicles were disabled.”

The Kremlin said Putin’s work schedule has not changed.

Footage circulating on Russian social media appears to show smoke rising over the Kremlin following the alleged attack.

Russia has blamed Ukraine for a series of recent drone attacks, including a strike on the Crimean port of Sevastopol over the weekend.
