Uganda: Bobi Wine Still Under House Arrest As Internet Is Partially Restored

Following the re-election of Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni, Bobi Wine, his main opponent’s life has been more miserable as he and his family have been denied many more rights and privileges, as they are held under house arrest.
Recall that Bobi Wine had taken to his Twitter handle a day after the election to reveal that he the army had laid siege on his house, and jumped into their home through the fence.Uganda Decides: Bobi Wine and Yoweri Museveni
It now seems that he longer has access to his phone as the tweets that have been put out via his handle indicates that an administrator is in charge of the account, as each tweet carries the word ADMIN in brackets.
Giving an update, Bobi Wine’s administrator revealed that the singer cum politician and his wife are still under house arrest and are out of food supplies.
“It’s now four days since the military surrounded our home and placed my wife and I under house arrest. We have run out of food supplies and when my wife tried to pick food from the garden yesterday, she was blocked and assaulted by the soldiers staged in our compound.”A recent tweet the administrator managing Bobi Wine’s page put out today reads, “HAPPENING NOW: Heavily armed military and police have once again raided our party offices in Kampala. No one allowed to go in or come out. Museveni after committing the most vile election fraud in history, has resorted to the most despicable forms of intimidation.

Meanwhile, internet has partially restored in Uganda today almost five days after a near-total blackout was imposed across the East African country ahead of elections. This came as police announced dozens of arrests for alleged election-related violence, and surrounded the headquarters of the main opposition party whose leader is effectively under house arrest.
