UEFA Investigate Evra For Kicking A Fan On The Head

The Top European football governing body, UEFA, has opened investigations into the Evra’s Karate kick in Marseille’s 1-0 defeat to Vitoria de Guimares.
UEFA has banned the 36-year-old for at least one match, with the organisation’s disciplinary committee set to continue discussion on the case at its next meeting on November 10.
Olympique de Marseille are also investigating the incident. In a statement, the club said “Olympique de Marseille noted the altercation between an individual and Patrice Evra during the warm-up at the game against Guimaraes. An internal investigation has been opened to establish responsibilities. No matter what happens, a professional player must maintain self-control despite provocations and insults, no matter how unjustified they may be.”
The veteran French defender swung an acrobatic karate kick at a fan few minutes after he came in as a substitute. The events that warranted his shocking reaction is still unknown but UEFA are also investigating to find out the cause of the outburst.
