“Tyson Fury Is Definitely Next” – Deontay Wilder Confirms Next Fight After Destroying Ortiz

Deontay Wilder confirmed his rematch with Tyson Fury will be his next fight – then he wants a unification bout with Anthony Joshua or Andy Ruiz Jr.

Wilder and Fury drew their thrilling first contest last December, with the Gypsy King getting up from the canvas just in time during an explosive 12th round.

Both men have continued their unbeaten records since that famous night, with the Bronze Bomber emphatically knocking out Luis Ortiz last night. Despite being behind on the judges’ scorecards, Wilder unleashed a trademark right to send the Cuban sprawling out on the canvas.

Now his attention is all on that second bout with Fury, which is expected to be held in February. The American said: “Tyson Fury is definitely next and then after that I want a unification bout with whoever wins between Joshua and Ruiz Jr. I want one champion, one face and one heavyweight champion – Deontay Wilder.

“Right now we’re ready for Tyson Fury. Hopefully he’s ready for me, I know his trainer’s here so I hope he got some notes down. I’m ready to go at any give time and any given moment and February is looking like our time.”
