Tyra Banks Reacts To America’s Next Top Model Star’s Death

Tyra Banks has shared a sweet tribute to America’s Next Top Model star Jael Strauss who was diagnosed with terminal cancer in October and bided this earthly terrain farewell this week. The A-List Star who fronts the long-running series America’s Next Top Model took to Twitter yesterday to pay tribute to Jael after hearing the sad news. “Top Model has lost a beautiful soul,” she wrote. “We will all remember Jael and her fun-loving spirit and beautiful soul.”Strauss who died from breast cancer two months after her diagnosis had battled drug addiction during her life and celebrated five years of sobriety in August. Prior to this development, the 34-year-old had revealed she’d been diagnosed with the disease. In a Facebook post, she wrote: “I was gonna write some long thing but some of you guys deserve to know, on October 2nd I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. “It has aggressively spread throughout my body and is incurable. With treatment, it may prolong my life longer than the ‘few months’ doctors said I could make it. I don’t want to die. I need another one of those miracles that I got back in 2013.” Strauss also made a plea to her Instagram followers for support and prayers. Strauss wrote: “I am scared. I really need your help – donations, kind words of support and prayers are completely welcome and absolutely needed. I have stage four metastatic breast cancer, and there is NO cure. “NO CURE?”A statement on a GoFundMe page set up to raise money to help pay for Jael’s treatment reads: “Today we lost our earth angel and she is back in the spirit world from which she came and we know she will be watching over all of us. She will dance at how we celebrate her life by spreading the love that she lived by daily with a reckless abandon. We can honour her best by trying to #lovelikejael.” Unfortunately, the model who competed in the eighth series of the talent show died in a hospice on Tuesday morning.Photo Credit: Getty
