A Two-week old baby is in hospital after allegedly being raped. A 25-year-old man has been charged with rape and grievous bodily harm with intent after an investigation.
The man reportedly appeared this week at Armagh Magistrates’ Court, Northern Ireland, over the September 29 incident. The baby, from the Annalong area of County Down, is being treated at the paediatric unit of the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. The child is in intensive care. The man, who cannot be named, was remanded in custody. He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 10 October.
