Twitter has finally taken down President Muhammadu Buhari‘s controversial tweet in which he promised to treat arsonists burning down critical national assets and those plotting to destroy the country by promoting insurrection in the language they understand.
Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. President Buhari has said this as he met with INEC officials in Abuja on Tuesday to discuss the increased rate of attacks on the electoral commission’s offices and properties. According to Mahmoud Yakubu, the boss of the commission, attacks have been launched on the commission 41 times in 2 years.

Many Nigerians, however, were offended attacked the President and the Presidency, and reported the tweet to the microblogging site. Not only that, but the youths also called for the suspension of the President over the controversial tweet.
